Job Description includes but is not limited to:

1.          Customer Service (retail & contractor)

a.          Customer reception (greeting)

b.          Customer product communication/explanation

a.          Understanding the customer’s needs

b.          How to calculate (you will learn as you go)

c.           Customer Transaction

a.          Culture/Courtesy

2.          Inventory

a.          Communicate what needs to be ordered to the store manager

b.          Loading/unloading of delivery trucks

c.           Unloading vendor trucks

d.          Manage inventory turnover

e.          Price/quantity communication with office inventory controller or store manager

f.             Know pricing – retail vs. contractor

3.          Equipment/Vehicle Operations

a.          Standard operating procedures

b.          Maintenance

i.         Equipment – grease, oil changes, tires, brakes, etc……

ii.         Maintenance of your vehicle – oil changes, tires, alignments, wiper blades, brakes, etc….

iii.          Yard / Trash

c.           Knowledge and Comprehension of all safety procedures

4.          Nursery – when available to help

a.          Load customer cars

b.          Unload vendor trucks

5.          Palm Trees –

a.          Installation

i.         Knowledge of type of tree being installed

ii.         Follow process and willingness to learn process and procedure for palm tree installs

iii.          Unloading palm tree truck when new inventory arrives

b.          Knowledge and Comprehension of all safety procedures

6.  Driving -

a.   Understand your BOL - address, phone number, gate pass, and special instructions

b.   Ask any questions you may have BEFORE you leave

c.  NO texting and driving

d.   Must maintain a CLEAN driving record

e.   Be aware of your surroundings

f.    Keep your vehicle clean

g.   Daily Drivers log

There is a lot of physical labor involved in this position.

• Lifting of at least 50 pounds is required daily.
• Deliveries often times have to be hand unloaded and placed per the customers specific instructions.
• Multiple times throughout the day you will be required to hand load pinestraw, bag products and plant materialinto a customer vehicle or delivery truck.
