Megan Shytle - Beaufort Location Store Manager

I am the adopted daughter of our Lord, married to my hometown sweetheart, John, for almost 20 years.  We have 10 Blessings, The JClan, from 19 years old to 7 months old.  

There is a good chance you have seen me, my Beloved, or one of our two oldest at either Bluffton or Beaufort Taylor’s over the past two years. 

John and I grew up in Winter Haven, FL together. We married in 2003 and were stationed in Cherry Point NC, where our eldest was born.  In 2004 the USMC moved us to the Lowcountry and we have made this our home.

My architectural draftsman daddy nurtured my love of design. Visiting countless home shows and watching him design buildings and structures for people always fascinated me. Frank Lloyd Wright’s buildings were just down the road from my daddy’s firm and I loved how he incorporated nature into his homes. As I got older caring for plants and playing with landscapes became a hobby.  

As a homeschool mama, I’ve helped my older kids learn how to start up their own small businesses. Our oldest was able to earn enough money, many times, by starting a small landscape business at 10 years old to go on trips.  

This provided his way to visit Guatemala twice. Learning alongside my kids I became a trained Herbalist, using my love for plants as a way to nurture the body and soul.

In 2021, I joined the Taylor’s family as the Office Assistant at the Beaufort Store, progressing to Office Manager.  

Today, I proudly take on the joy of Beaufort Store Manager.  I look forward to continuing to serve our customers with quality products and service while we grow our team and store.
